  • Where is The Octagon Barn located?
    We are 42 miles west of Madison, Wisconsin. Our address is: E4350 Horseshoe Rd, Spring Green, WI 53588
  • When can I tour the space?
    Tours are arranged by appointment. Please contact us for a tour. Once you’ve booked, we have open house dates.
  • What is the maximum capacity?
    We have capacity/seating to accommodate up to 200 people. Please note: This number includes the bride, groom, and wedding party.
  • Is The Octagon Barn ADA Accessible?
    Yes, we have concrete pathways to both upper and lower levels of the barn, as well as an accessible single stall restroom.
  • Is there on site parking available for my guests?
    Yes, with attendants to help people park.
  • Do I have to use vendors from your preferred vendor list?
    No, these are just people we like working with. Please contact us for more details.
  • Is there an on-site coordinator?
    We have a venue coordinator to meet with your vendors and assist in troubleshooting. Please note: This is different than a day of coordinator, who would pin boutonnières, make sure you're on schedule, collect family members for photos, handle post event clean up, etc.
  • Can we have a rehearsal?
    You can have a ceremony rehearsal as part of your set up time on Friday.
  • How many hours are included in the rental?
    Rental time is 1pm-5pm on Friday (for set up and ceremony rehearsal) and Noon-Midnight* on Saturday (for ceremony and reception). *Amplified music must end at 11pm.
  • Can we add on hours to our rental time?
    Additional time may be available at a rate of $250/hr and must be approved by The Octagon Barn. Please contact us for more details.
  • How do we officially reserve the date?
    Booking fee and signed contract are required to reserve the date. Please contact us start the process.
  • Where are the nearest hotels/accommodations?
    Please check out our lodging information here.
  • Do you provide sound equipment and speakers? Or will those need to be rented or provided by the entertainment?
    We do not include sound equipment or speakers. Your DJ or sound person may need to accommodate several different set ups for ceremony, toasts, and reception.
  • Will your staff be involved in setting up and breaking down the decor?
    Our staff provides chair and table set up and tear down only. Decor is provided and installed by the renter.
  • Can we choose the layout for tables and chairs?
    We have several layouts to choose from and will work with you to meet your needs.
  • Do you allow candles?
    No, we do not allow open flames within 50 feet of the barn.
  • Do you allow smoking?
    We have designated smoking areas outside of the barn.
